The dream that changed America was Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream. Today
people are trying to Redeem the Dream of Dr. King handed down to us. There are many
organizations today that are fighting against racism. If there is a group in your
home town like this, consider joining it. Many organizations in Bloomington have
dedicated themselves to civil rights. For instance, Bloomington United is a
organization that was formed to stop Hate Crimes and dealing with them. Another
effort in Bloomington is Take Back the Night. This association was formed to promote
safe streets for violence by men aimed towards women. Take Back the Night does have
a web site, to visit it go to http://raprerelief
shelter.bc.ca/TakeBackTheNight/.
If you are not interested in joining any organizations yet, and would still like to
fight against racism, consider some of the following tips. Designing fliers is a
great way to notify people about a special event or something that they should start
doing. Writing newspaper articles is a way to inform a large audience about racism.
Or you could even design a webpage, which people all over the world could access,
obviously, this is the way to attract the largest amount of spectators. These are
only possibilies to inform people about the destructive force called racism. If you
don't like the ideas given, you can certainly think of your own. Or if you need even
more ideas, search the world wide web. Good luck...
